Co~]ncilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: ~ RESOLUTION #95-02- A~RESOLUTION DESIGNATING USE OF 1995 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT : BLOCK GRANT FUNDS ~:: WHEREAS, Anoka County is responsible for the allocation and timely expenditure of COmmunity Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development; and ~ WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey receives an annual allocation of CDBG funds from An°ka County; and :-' WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has a 1995 CDBG allocation in the amount of $34,769.00 for CDBG projects; and ~ WHEREAS, eligible activities for CDBG funds include projects that have been d~ermined to benefit low and moderate income persons, handicapped persons, senior citizens or to rehabilitate areas of slum and blight; and _: WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, January 24, 1995 regarding the use of 1995 CDBG allocations. N~W THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: That the City of Ramsey hereby applies to Anoka County for i995 Community Development Block Grant allocations to be used as follows: ~oject Amount Public Service Agencies: ACCAP Sr. Outreach CEAP Meals on Wheels Alexandra House Rise $2,000.00 $2,000.00 $2,0OO.0O $2,000.00 $2,000.00 Historical Preservation of Town Hail $23,769.00 That a copy of this resolution, the public hearing notice and the preliminary project application request form be forwarded to the Anoka County CDBG Administrator.
