Councilmernber <br />adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION #95-03- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY ENGINEER TO REQUEST, FROM <br />MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, A WARRANT <br />STUDY FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A SIGNALIZED INTERSECTION <br />FOR THI~. INTERSECTION OF 167TH AVENUE N.W. AND TRUNK <br />HIGHWAY #47 <br /> <br /> WHgREAS, the intersection of 167th Avenue N.W. and Trunk Highway #47 <br />involve mutual jurisdictions of the Minnesota Department of Transportation and the City of <br />Ramsey; and~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, both 167th Avenue N.W. and Trunk Highway #47 are collector <br />and medal streets within the City of Ramsey; and <br /> <br /> WHE~REAS, traffic along these streets have been increasing in proportion with <br />the rapid growth of the City of Ramsey; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, considerable development has occurred along Trunk Highway #47 <br />since the last Warranted study was conducted in October 1992. <br /> <br />NOW THEII~EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as <br />follows: <br /> <br />1) That the City Engineer is hereby authorized to request a warrant study by the <br /> MinneSota Department of Transportation for the intersection of 167th Avenue N.W. <br /> and Trank Highway #47. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That upon completion of the warrant study, the City Engineer shall report to the <br />City COuncil as to the findings and recommend what future course of action should <br />be takeh. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon saidL resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 28th day of March 1995. <br /> <br /> <br />
