Councilmember} its adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved for RESOLUTION #95-03- RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEME~qT PROJECT 4/95-11 (CONSTRUCTION OF URANIUM STREET N.W. AND MCKINLEY STREET N.W. AND THE EXTENSION OF SANITARY SEWER AND !iMUNICIPAL WATER SERVICES) WHERF4As, the City Engineer has prepared contract documents and specifications for the construction of ~ranium Street N.W. and McKinley Street N.W. and the extension of sanitary sewer and munic!pal water services and has presented such contract documents and specifications to the Council for approval. NOW THEREffORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, iANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That such~ conlxact documents and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a pa~ hereof, are hereby approved. 2) That the City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper .and in the C~nstruction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved contract documents and specifications. The advertisen~ent shall be published for 21 days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids ~ill be received by the City Administrator until 11:130 a.m. on Tuesday May 2, 1995 at wl~ieh time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal!Center by the City Engineer, will then be tabulated, and will be considered by the Rams4y 'City Council at 7:00 p.m. on May 9, 1995 in the Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportuni~ to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considerex~ unless sealed and filed with the City Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City of Ramsey for five (5) percent!of the amount of such bid. . ' The motion for the'~adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember an~ upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following Voted against the same: and the following ~bstained: and the following Were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 28th day of Mai'ch, 1995.
