~March 3, 1995

To: Ramsey City Council
Re: McLaffeny's Boys Home

Dear City Council,

~IBIT B

My name is Terrance Wayne Armstrong. I live at 7290 154th Lane NW My family and I have
lived here for six and one half years. This is a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood and this is one of the
reasons that we moved here.

In this neighborhood there are two licensed daycare's one of which is my home. And one foster
home. This should tell you what kind of people live here~ll We ali care for the welfare and well-being of
other children other than our own.

Pat and his family moved in to "our" neighborhood last year. To be honest with all of you they
don't even make there presence known as much as some of the neighbors that have teenage children.
Never have we had any problem with any of the "kids" from Pat's house. As a matter of fact I on a
number of oceasions have had some of the boys over to help me with various different projects. Never
once have I ever had any problems with any of them!l

tn my opinion you will be doing a gross injustice to society by not granting Pat the conditional
use permit because of the fine job he is doing with the children he now has. By having two more he is
offering to do more than his part to help young children to become upstanding citizens for our community.
and ffyou ask the other people of the neighborhood (the ones that know what is really going on) you will
find that Pat and his family are a good asset to our community and should be granted the permit.

Should you have any questions on this matter for me I will be glad to help in anyway that I can.
I can be reached at: 422-9160

Sincerely,

Terrance W. Armstrong

CC: Pat McLafferty

!
