Scope of Services <br /> City of Ramsey <br /> <br />TH 47 Corridor Study - From County Road 116 to 167th Avenue N.W.: <br /> <br />1. Identify ~propriate functional and jurisdictional classification of TH 47. <br /> <br />2. Develop traffic forecasts for the years 2000 and 2015. <br /> <br />3. Study and evaluate alternate alignments for TH 47 ,and select a recommended alignment. <br /> <br />4. Prepare fl).r the selected alternative a preliminary roadway plan for the design year 2015. <br /> prelimin~ plan would address: <br /> <br />The <br /> <br /> design speed <br /> · hori~ntal and vertical alignment <br /> · road~Vay cross section (number of lanes) <br /> · fight~f-way widths <br /> · pede~fianib~e/t~l facilities <br /> · inter~ection design <br /> connoting City roadways such as Thurston Avenue by-pass and east-west connector with <br /> City pfAndover. <br /> · envirbnmental considerations (wetlands, parks, noise and air quality, etc.) <br /> · cost estimates <br /> <br />5. Identify qxisting safety and capacity deficiencies and prepare preliminary spot-safety <br /> improvenhents plans and cost estimates. Specific intersection to be studied would include: <br /> <br />· TH 47 at CSAH5 <br />· TH 47 at 147th Lane <br />· TH 47 at <br /> 149th <br /> Lane <br />· TH 47 at 153rd Avenue NW <br /> <br />Develop ~an access plan for the TH 47 corridor considering existing and furore land rise and <br />development: <br /> <br />· City ~Comprehensive Plan as a guide. <br />· Mn/DOT standards as a guide <br />· Adjajeent local street and roadway system needs. <br /> Acce~ s safety and capacity considerations (~mtersection spacing, sight distance, <br /> intersection control). <br /> <br />The TH 47 COrridor Study should be guided by a task force composed of representatives from <br />several city departments (engnneermg, p!:anmn~ plLrks~ police, city council), Mn/DOT, Anoka <br />County Odgh ~v~y department and planning), City of Anoka, Metropolitan Council. <br /> <br />Duration of the study should be 9-12 months.. <br /> <br /> <br />
