Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Ms. Hart statedithat the Finance Committee also reviewed the squad rotation information. <br />No action was necessary. This issue will be discussed again during the budget process. <br /> <br />Ms. Hart report0~t that a discussion added to the Committee agenda related to increased rate <br />for the building code. The Finance Committee recommended implementing the 1994 <br />Uniform Buildihg Code rates on May 1, 1995. This would allow for adequate time to <br />notify builders. ~Ms. Hart announced that this is about a 40 percent increase but added that <br />this is a standard schedule and are the rates that the majority of the cities are adopting. <br /> <br />Motion by Cougcilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to adopt the <br />new building pelmit fees which will become effective on May 1, 1995. <br /> <br />Motion carried.~ Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Peterson, Beyer, Beahen <br />and Zimmermafi. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #8: Report from Personnel Committee <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder stated that Council has been going through the process of <br />filling the vacani:y created by the Administrator Services Manager. <br /> <br />Motion by Couacilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to ratify the <br />recommendation of the Personnel Committee which was to offer the position of Assistant <br />to the City Administrator to Dan Wells at a not-to-exceed wage of $38,500, with a job <br />classification ofi#16. <br /> <br />Motion carried.i Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beyer, Beahen, Peterson <br />and Zimmermafl. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case /t9: Sewer Alignment <br /> <br />Councilmembe~ Beyer remarked that this issue is a really important one. She stated she <br />would like to n~t see any part of the nature trail destroyed and to see a very assertive effort <br />to go around it., <br /> <br />Councilmember~Beahen stated she agrees with Councilmember Beyer. A lot of parents and <br />community members put a lot of effort into this wonderful amenity that can ill-afford to be <br />destroyed. <br /> <br />Councilmembe~ Zimmerman suggested seeking an alternate location for the sewer and felt <br />that it would prObably not be any more expensive. <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin encouraged all the Councilmembers to be at the meeting on Monday <br />pertaining to thi8 issue. <br /> <br />City <br /> <br />Council/March 28, 1995 <br /> Page 11 of 13 <br /> <br /> <br />
