Sehroeder, City Administrator <br /> <br />CASE # <br /> <br />The Charter COmmission conducted a regular meeting on Thursday, April 20, 1995. The <br />Commission al~ain discussed a Ward versus At Large Council system, reviewed the <br />Electoral Proc~s surveys they had sent out to Mayor/Council candidates from the last <br />election, term Iimits, campaigning in general, realigning precincts, polling places and <br />increasing the fi~Jng fee. They also touched on possibly changing the name of the precincts <br />from lA, lB, cfc. to 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, thinking that it may be less confusing. Consensus of <br />the Commissior~ was that they would discuss all of these items separately, more thoroughly <br />at subsequent r4eetings. It is possible they will not make a recommendation for the 1996 <br />election; howe~er, they feel that all of these items need more discussion and possible <br />eventual changOsr. <br /> <br />The Commissio~ also discussed Section 12.5 of the City Charter relating to the sales of real <br />property. Follc~wing discussion, they directed Staff to prepare an ordinance that would <br />eliminate such siection, for review at their next meeting. <br /> <br />Council Actian: <br />No action is nedessary by Council.
