Schroeder, City Administrator <br /> <br /> Background:i <br /> <br />Last December, the Personnel Committee discussed the Education Policy. It was tabled. <br />Further, it wadi requested that it again be discussed but due to the resignation of the <br />Administrative Bervices Manager, that discussion was delayed until this point. <br /> <br />The affected p.~ties of this case include all Staff. There has been no specific notice or <br />discussions on ~is case other than by the persons on the review list noted below. <br /> <br />Although a fai~ amount of paper, I have included all of the background to this case. This <br />occurred due t6 the length of time we have been discussing the issue. I felt the refresher <br />was necessary. !Included are: <br /> <br />1) Case co'er sheet from 12/13/94 <br />2) Minuteg from Personnel Committee of: <br /> ~2/13/94 <br /> 11/07/94 <br /> 06/14/94 <br /> ~5/10/94 <br />3) Trainin~ budget update of 5/13/95 <br />4) Year-chef training budget update of 12/30/94 <br />5) 1990 - I~993 Training compendium dated 4/6/94. <br /> <br />Upon a reviewiof these materials, I have drafted a new training policy for Committee <br />review. This isisignificantly different from that discussed in December.
