Councilmember adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved for its RESOLUTION #95-05- RESOLUTION, APPROVING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEMEN~ PROJECT g95-03 (SEALCOAT AND CRACK FILL HALLAND ACRES) WHEREA~, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Ramsey City Council on April 25, 1995, the City Engi~ eer has prepared contract documents and specifications for the sealcoating and crack filling of Hal!and Acres, and has presented such contract documents and specifications to the Council for approv~il. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, A~IOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That such c~ontract documents and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a partihereof, are hereby approved. 2) That the Ciw Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the Construction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvem~,nt under such approved contract documents and specifications. The advertisemelnt shall be published for 21 days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids wl. ll be received by the City Adrmmstrator unt~l 2:00 p.m. on June 7, 1995, at which time ~ey will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal Center by the City Engineer and the City Clerk (or their representatives), will then be tabulated, ahd will be considered by the Ramsey City Council at 7:00 p.m. on June 13, 1995 in the~ Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideratidn of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Adrmmstra~or and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payalJle to the City of Ramsey for five (5) percent of the amount of such bid. The motion for the ~doption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and!upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said res~>lution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 9th day of May~ 1995.
