APPROVING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEMENT. PROJECT #95-05 (SEALCOAT AND CRACK FILL NATURE VIEW ADDITION) WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Ramsey City Council on April 25, 1995, the City Engi~teer has prepared contract dOCuments and specifications for'the sealcoating and crack filling of ~ature View Addition, and has presented such contract documents and specifications to the!Council for approval. NOW THEREFO~IE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That such cq>ntract documents and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a parthereof, are hereby approved. 2) That the City Adminisu'ator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the Con,~truction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvemeOt under such approved contract documents and specifications. The advertisemegt shall be published for 21 days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the City Administrator until 2:00 p.m. on June 7, 1995, at which time t~ey will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal Center by t~e City Engineer and the City Clerk (or their representatives), will then be tabulated, agd will be considered by the Ramsey City Council at 7:00 p.m. on June 13, 1995 in thelCouncil Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideratioh of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Administrat,Or and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier s check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City of Ramsey for five (5) percent of the amount of such bid. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and Upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following w~ere absent: whereupon said resdlution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 9th day of May, II995.
