,I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I Councilmember adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved for its RESOLUTION g95-05- RESOLUTION[ APPROVING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SPECIFICATIOINS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #95-06 (SEALCOAT AND CRACK FILL THE NORTH FORTY!3RD ADDITION) WHEREA~, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Ramsey City Council on April 25, 1995, the City Engifleer has prepared contract documents and specifications for the sealcoating and crack filling of Th{t North Forty 3rd Addition, and has presented such contract documents and specifications to thelCouncil for approval. NOW THEREFO~RE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, A[NOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That such c~ntract documents and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2) That the City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the ConStruction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvemeOt under such approved contract documents and specifications. The advertisemeOt shall be published for 21 days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the City Administrator until 2:00 p.m. on June 7, 1995, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal Center by tl~e City Engineer and the City Clerk (or their representatives), will then be tabulated, a0d will be considered by the Ramsey City Council at 7:00 p.m. on June 13, 1995 in the {Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during cons~deranoO of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibili_ty. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City AdministratOr and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City of Ramsey for five (5) percent of the amount of such bid. The motion for the Adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and Opon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following vt~ted against the same: and the following al~tained: and the following were absent: whereupon said reso~lution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 9th day of May, ;1995.
