I I I I I I I I Councilmember adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved for its RESOLUTION g95-05- RESOLUTION~ APPROVING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEMEN~ PROJECT #95-08 (SEALCOAT AND CRACK FILL SORTEBERG'S 6TH ADDITION) WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Ramsey City Council on April 25, 1995, the City Engineer has,prepared contract documents and specifications for the sealcoating and crack filling of Scirteberg s 6th Addition, and has presented such contract documents and specfficatzons to the'Counml for approval. £ NOW THEREFO~RE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That such contract documents and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approVed. 2) That the Cit3 Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the ConStruction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvemegt under such approved contract documents and specifications. The advertisemeOt shall be published for 21 days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the City Administrator until 2:00 p.m. on June 7, 1995, at which time ~ey will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal Center by tt~e City Engineer and the City Clerk (or their representatives), will then be tabulated, arid will be considered by the Ramsey City Council at 7:00 p.m. on June 13, 1995 in the[Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideratio!h of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibili.[y. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Administrat.(~r and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City of Ramsey for five (5) percent of the amount of such bid. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and ~pon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following vqted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 9th day of May, ',1995.
