Raatikka <br />222 Monroe Street <br />Anoka, Minnesota 55303 <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Raatikka: <br /> <br /> This is inireference to the road project of the City of Ramsey to <br />construct Sunwo~d Drive from a point west of County State Aid Highway 5 to <br />County Road 116~ The project is generally located in the N 1/2 Sec. 26 and <br />the E 1/2 of section 27, T. 32N., R. 25W., Anoka County, Minnesota. <br /> <br /> We have de~ermined that the discharge of dredged or fill material, <br />estimated at le%s than 1/2 acre, associated with this project is authorized by <br />an existing Dep~rtment of the Army nationwide permit referenced below, <br />provided the enclosed conditions are followed. Also, we recommend that any <br />storm water runoff generated as a result of this roadway be directed into <br />upland retentio~ basins, prior to discharge into existing wetlands. <br /> <br /> We understand that the City is continuing discussions with the Minnesota <br />Department of N4tural Resources regarding compensatory mitigation requirements <br />to offset impacts to State Protected Waters 114P and 673W.
