April Building Activity Reports Attached for review and comment are the month-end reports for April, 1995. As you will note, the City issued 25 singl~, family home permits for the month. The City also issued one commercial construction permit '~for the 24,960 square foot Wendells, Inc. facility. This facility, based upon the development agr~.ement, will have a minimum mx value of $800,000 per year, starting in 1996. This should be the first of five to six new commercial structures slated for construction in 1995 in the City of Ramsey, Some of these proposed facilities are currently completing the site plan process and should lle reflected in the construction figures for May, 1995. The City Council d~cided to increase the building permit fees in accordance with the newly approved building c ~r~le. Prior to this change, the fees were based upon the fee schedule from the 1985 Uniform Building Code. All of the current contractors were notified that this change would take place on May li 1995. This pending change may account for the relatively large number of permits issued during the month of April. As a point of reference, the City made up the shortage from the first three months and was two homes ahead of the projections for 1995.
