As you will note, the <br />City issued 25 singl~, family home permits for the month. The City also issued one commercial <br />construction permit '~for the 24,960 square foot Wendells, Inc. facility. This facility, based upon <br />the development agr~.ement, will have a minimum mx value of $800,000 per year, starting in 1996. <br />This should be the first of five to six new commercial structures slated for construction in 1995 in <br />the City of Ramsey, Some of these proposed facilities are currently completing the site plan <br />process and should lle reflected in the construction figures for May, 1995. <br /> <br />The City Council d~cided to increase the building permit fees in accordance with the newly <br />approved building c ~r~le. Prior to this change, the fees were based upon the fee schedule from the <br />1985 Uniform Building Code. All of the current contractors were notified that this change would <br />take place on May li 1995. This pending change may account for the relatively large number of <br />permits issued during the month of April.
