I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Councilmember ~ introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> [ <br /> RESOLUTION ~95-06- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AGREEMENT FOR RESIDENTIAL RECYCLING <br />PROGRAM BETV~,EEN THE CITY OF RAMSEY AND ANOKA COUNTY FOR <br />FUNDING OF 199~ LANDFILL ABATEMENT ACTIVITIES. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS,i the State of Minnesota Legislature enacted the Select Committee on <br />Recycling and the En .viTronment (SCORE Legislation) which provides for collection of sales tax on <br />solid waste disposal; ah~d <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, ,eounties are responsible for the dispersion of said funds to municipalities; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, ~m agreement between Anoka County and the City of Ramsey is required <br />prior to the distribution of funds for municipal landfill abatement programs for SCORE funds <br />reimbursement; and ~' <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, [he City of Ramsey is eligible for a total of $40,980.42 of SCORE funding <br /> for.1995. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the Ramsay City Council hereby approves the agreement between the City of Rarnsey <br /> and Anoka Cciunty regarding the full participation of the City of Ramsey in establishing <br /> landfill abatement programs pursuant to SCORE Legislation and funding from Anoka <br /> County regar~ng the same. <br /> <br />2) That the Ramgey City Council hereby authorizes the Mayor and City Administrator to sign <br /> the agreement land any other necessary documents on behalf of the City. <br /> <br />3) That the ScoRE funds, in the amoum of $40,980.42, be used to reimburse the City for the <br /> cost of the Cit,-wide Curbside Recycling Program. <br /> <br />The motion for the ad4>ption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> and u~on vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following ye ~text against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following wer~ absent: <br /> <br />whereupon smd resol~.taon was declared duly passed and adopted bY the Ramsey City Council this <br />the 13th day of June, i1995. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />
