OTHER COSTS <br /> <br />In ~add.ition to the costs identified in the previous section, the property owner will incur various <br />additional cost at the time new buildings are connected to the sewer and water utilities. These cost <br />in~Iude lateral services, Water Ava/lability Charges (WAC), which is collected by the municipality <br />toidefray the depreciation costs of the water system, and a Sewer Availability Charge (SAC), <br />which is collected by the City to be paid to the Metropolitan Council Wastewater Division to defray <br />the cost of reserved capacity designed into the treatment and transmission facility. The amount of <br />those WAC and SAC charges are determined based on the amount of water usage. One WAC and <br />SAC unit is designed to be the equivalent of a single family residential wastewater generator. Also <br />the City will collect a water meter installation charge which is based upon meter size. <br /> <br />PROJECT SCHEDULE <br /> <br />This project could be anticipated to proceed on the following project schedule having 100% of the <br /> <br />benefitted properties signing a petition for the project. <br /> <br />Receive Feasibility Study and set date for public hearing June 13, 1995 <br />Hold public hearing July 11, 1995 <br />Initiate project by ordering plans and specifications July 11, 1995 <br />Approve plans and specifications July 25, 1995 <br />Receive bids and award project August 22, 1995 <br />Begin construction September, 1995 <br />Complete construction October 1, 1995 <br />Hold assessment hearing October 10, 1995 <br />F/rst payment due with real estate taxes May, 1996 <br /> <br /> <br />
