I <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br />Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #95-06-_ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br />IMPROVEMEN~ PROJECT #95-01 THROUGH #95-08 (1995 STREET <br />MAINTENANCE PROGRAM - CRACK FILLING) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ Resolutions g05-04-065 through g05-04-072 were adopted by the Ramsey <br />City Council on Ap~l 25, 1995, authorizing the preparation of plans and specifications for the <br />above referenced work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREASi Resolutions #95-05-087 through g95-05-094 were adopted by the Ramsey <br />City Council on May 9, 1995, approving the plans and specifications and authorizing the <br />advertisement for bi~ for the above referenced work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREASi pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 1995 Street Maintenance <br />Program, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law on June 7, 1995; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS,! the following quotes were received: <br /> <br />Bidder <br /> <br />Amount of Bid <br /> <br />Bergman Companies, Inc. <br />Astech Corp. i <br />Bargen, Inc. <br />Allied Blackt~,p Company <br />Tenson Construction, Inc. <br /> <br />$16,206.27 <br />$16,973.82 <br />$17,851.02 <br />$17,960.67 <br />$28,947.60 <br /> <br /> Engineer's Estimate $18,201.90 <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, it appears that Bergman Companies, Inc. is the lowest responsible <br />bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFOI~E, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the MaYOr and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract withfBergrnan Companies, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the 1995 <br />Street Maintenance Program - Crack Fflhng (Improvement ProJects g95-01 through #95- <br />08) in the ambunt of $16,206.27. <br /> <br />That the CityiEngineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br />the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the <br />next to lowes[ bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />The motion for the ad, option of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br /> <br />
