I <br />! <br /> <br />Councilmembcr,, ~ <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION #95-06-._ <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br />IMPROVEMEN? PROJECT #95-09 THROUGH #95-10 (1995 STREET <br />MAINTENANCE IPROGRAM - BITUMINOUS OVERLAYING) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ Resolutions g05-04-073 and g95-04-074 were adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council on April 251 1995, authorizing the preparation of plans and specifications for the above <br />referenced work; and' <br /> WHEREASi Resolutions g95-05-095 and g95-05-096 were adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council on May 9, 19951 approving the plans and specifications and authorizing the advertisement <br />for bids for the abov{ referenced work; and <br /> [ <br /> WHEREAS~ pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 1995 Street Maintenance <br />Program, bids were ~ceived, opened and tabulated according to law on June 7, 1995; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS; the following quotes were received: <br /> <br />Bidder Amount of Bid <br /> <br />H&M Asphalg <br />Valley Paving, Inc. <br />Master Asph~t Company <br />Northwest A~phalt, Inc. <br />Aero Asphalti Inc. <br />Bauerly Bros! Companies <br /> <br />$116,200.00 <br />$118,440.00 <br />$119,000.00 <br />$123,032.00 <br />$123,984.00 <br />$125,888.00 <br /> <br /> Engineer's Estimate $125,483.00 <br /> AND WHEREAS, it appears that H&M Asphalt is the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) That the MaZOr and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br /> contract witl~ H&M Asphalt in the name of the City of Ramsey for the 1995 Street <br /> Maintenance program - Bituminous Overlaying (Improvement Project g05-09 through g95- <br /> 10) in the amount of $116,200.00. <br /> <br />2) That the City ~Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br /> the deposits rgade with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the <br /> next to lowes~ bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> and uibon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following vo ~tqxl against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following we~e absent: <br /> <br /> <br />
