' CASE # <br />' PROVIDE DIRECTION ON THE RECEIPT OF <br />DONATION(S) FROM ACE SOLID WASTE <br />By: Mark Boos, Parks /Utilities Supervisor <br />Background: <br />Earlier this year, Mr. Denny Fredrickson, General Manager of Ace Solid Waste inquired as to the <br />' process and opportu ;ities for providing regular donations to the City. The program, as currently <br />proposed, is as follolvs: <br />For every = nety customer, Ace will donate a monetary amount towards the parks (net <br />being if ten new ustomers and five change, then only 5 would be recognized). At a point <br />in time, when thi amount has been deemed recognizable, annually, Ace would present a <br />"giant check" to the City, displaying the total amount donated during the year. The check is <br />proposed to be presented at a City function. <br />Other recognitioo mechanisms could be through marking or branding park items that are <br />' purchased throug these donations. <br />The Park and Recreation Commission supported Ace's offer contingent upon Council approval. <br />' Mr. Fredrickson was Ireminded of this meeting date and time.
