For your edificathon, I have compiled the calendar of events (minus staff memorandums and meetings) rel6ting to this issue since May 1993, as follows: f 05/2 i Council hued BKPR for space needs study 07/30/93 j First draft study concepts complete 04/26/94 1 Presentation by BKPR to Finance Committee on final concepts and budgets i 06/14/94 ouncil authorized negotiation for purr ase o 14100 Jaspar 06/28/94 Council authorized 10,000 purchase and $280,000 remodeling of 14100 Jaspar 08/22/94 Council authorized closing on 14100 Jaspar 09/01/94 losing held on Jaspar 09/12/94 Council authorized proceeding on Public Works remodeling at 14100 Jaspar 11/22/94 Council authorized partial use of 1 100 Jaspar for Police Department storage 03/14/95 Council informed o Public Works remodeling progress and upcoming proposal for use of Community Room for Police Department space 05/23/95 Request to Council for consideration of City Hall remodeling 06/07/95 Memorandum to Council on remodeling options progress 06/13/95 Proposal requested for new construction costs 06/21/95 ' onstruction estimate received It is interesting tofrecall that less than two months elapsed between the completion of the needs analysis and Council authorization of a purchase of an improved Public Works facility. This facility (minus site work) should be complete by July 1995. Council was informed in March 1995, of the staff intent to consider soft remodeling of City Hall for an improved Police Department space.
