V6ting No: None. <br />PRESENTAT ON OF COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD TO RAMSEY <br />GARDEN CLUB <br />Mayor Hardin presented the Ramsey Garden Club with a Community Service Award in <br />recognition of thiir planting/landscaping at Emerald Pond Park and elsewhere in the City. <br />COUNCIL BtJSINESS <br />F <br />Case #1: esentation by John Weaver Representing Anoka County <br />Mstorical Society <br />Mr. John Weave#, a Boardmember of the Anoka County Historical Society, was present to <br />' inform Council land Ramsey Residents of the fund raiser for a new museum, being <br />provided for by Garrison Keillor. <br />On a "historical note, City Administrator Schroeder reported that he had received a letter <br />' from Senator Paula Hanson stating that the City will be receiving funding for refurbishing <br />the old town hall on Highway #47; however, the letter did not state the amount of funding. <br />' Case #2: Workers Compensation Rates; Presentation by Anoka Area <br />Chamber of Commerce <br />Mr. Tom Snell, birector of Anoka County Chamber of Commerce, was present to ask <br />' Council to adopt a resolution relating to workers' compensation rates. By adopting this <br />resolution, the City Council would be calling upon its legislators and the Governor to pass <br />major workers' compensation reform which will make Minnesota's workers' compensation <br />City Council /April 25, 1995 14 <br />Page 5 of 23 <br />
