I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />i <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />APPOINT NEW FIRE FIGHTER <br />By: Jessie Hart, Finance Officer <br /> <br />CASE <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />As you recall, the Personnel Committee and City Council authorized the hiring of one daytime fire <br />fighter and one eV;ening fire fighter at their meetings on June 13, 1995. Upon notification, one <br />individual declineO the. offer and asked that his name be placed back on the list as he was in the <br />process of changing jobs. The other individual failed to meet certain requirements and will no <br />longer be considered as a fire fighter. <br /> <br />We currently have no names on the waiting list for daytime responders, although we have se/~eral <br />on the evening responder waiting list. Therefore, we are requesting that the next eligible evening <br />responder, Mr. RiChard Helgeson, be offered a position as an evening responder with the Ramsey <br />Fire Department. <br /> <br />Recommenda ti an: <br /> <br />Staff recommends ithat Richard Helgeson be offered the position of Volunteer Fire Fighter with the <br />Ramsey Fire Depa.~'tment. Mr. Helgeson's application is attached.
