I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Plan.ning Commission conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, June 6, 1995 at the <br />Ramsey Municipa21 Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota to hear input <br />regarding a request for a conditional use permit to expand the Grace Community Bible Church <br />facility; Case of Grace Community Bible Church. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson David Bawden <br />Commissioner Benjamin Deemer <br />Commissioner Terry Hendriksen <br />Commissioner Charles LaDue <br />Commissioner Bradley Thorud <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Commissioner Paul Holland <br />Commissioner Michael Terry <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Engineer Steven Jankowski <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Chairperson Bawden called the public hearing to order at 7:58 p.m. <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik advised that Grace Community Bible Church proposes to construct a <br />3,600 square foot addition to their church facility at 6341 167th Avenue N.W. Churches are not a <br />permitted use in the R-1 Rural Residential District, and the church is at this location by the issuance <br />of a conditional u~e permit (CUP). City Code requires that any time a CUP desires to expand, an <br />additional CUP should be applied for and obtained. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Pastor Randy Barrgws, Grace Community Bible Church - explained that they have had an influx in <br />families--especialLy with children, and therefore they plan to provide indoor recreational activity <br />space for the cong/:egation. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Thorud and seconded by Commissioner Hendriksen to adjourn the <br />public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carded, iVoting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Thorud, Hendriksen, <br />Deemer, and LaDt~e. Voting No: None.
