Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Holland and Terry. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Thorud and seconded by Commissioner Deemer to add a finding to read <br />"That the Plannirlg Commission received into evidence at the pu. blic hearing one letter from a <br />neighboring resider rice in favor of granting a conditional use permit. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Thorud, Deemer, <br />Hendriksen, and l.~aDue. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Holland and Terry. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Thorud to recommend that City <br />Council adopt the~amended Findings of Fact relaung to Mr. Godden s request for a conditional use <br />permit to store commercial eqmpment ~n a res~dennal district. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Deemer, Thorud, <br />Hendriksen, and EaDue. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Holland and Terry. <br /> <br />Mt'. Godden advised the Planning Commission that he has been checking into a relocation but has <br />found nothing. Hi stated that he has checked virtually every commercial lot in the area. <br /> <br />Chairperson Bawden suggested that the City should work with these people and come up with an <br />alternative they caJn look into since there will be more residents with this type of problem. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner LaDue and seconded by Commissioner Deemer to recommend that City <br />Council deny Mr.[ Godden's request for a conditional use permit, based on the negative Findings <br />of Fact, and grant a grace period to expire on 1/1/96 in order to make arrangements to store the <br />equipment in a m/ore appropriate district. If the applicant is unable to find a relocation and has <br />made a good faith!effort, he can return to City Council with his request. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners LaDue, Deemer, Hendriksen, <br />and Thorud. Votii~g No: None. Absent: Commissioners Holland and Terry. <br /> <br />Chairperson Bawden recessed the Planning Commission meeting at 8:32 p.m. <br /> <br />Chairperson Bawden called the Planning Commission meeting back to order at 8:41 p.m. <br /> <br />Case #3: <br /> <br />Request for a Conditional Use Permit to Grade and Export Soils in <br />N~rthfork Lake Addition; Case of North Fork, Inc. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski advised that what is being proposed is not going to substantially change <br />existing drainage Patterns, however, there will be some change during the excavation. Therefore <br />Staff recommends'it be done as soon as possible to get in and out within a 2-3 week period. <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer inquired about dust control, a concern brought up at the public hearing. <br /> <br />Mro Jankowski advised that there are certain conditions regarding wind velocity, and that is another <br />reason Staff requests this be accomplished quickly.
