Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION-#95-07- RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SPECIFICATI0, NS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEMEI~T PROJECT #95-17 (THE CONSTRUCTION OF SANITARY SEWER, WATI~RMAIN, STORM SEWER AND STREETS TO SERVICE THE PROPOSED RIVERS BEND 4TH DEVELOPMENT) WHERE~S, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Ramsey City Council on June 27, 1995, the City Engineer has prepared contract documents and specifications for the improvement of the constmctio~ of sanitary sewer, watermain, storm sewer and streets to service the proposed Fox Knoll development and has presented such contract documents and specifications to the Council for approOal. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, A~ NOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That such ~ontract documents and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2) That the C(ty Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the Construction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved contract documents and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for at least 21 days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state I~hat bids will be received by the City Administrator until 11:00 a.m. on August 4, 1995, ai which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey l%.~nicipal Center by the City Engineer and a Recording Secretary, will then be tabulated, and will be considered by the Ramsey City Council at 7:00 p.m. on August 8, 1995, in the Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibi.: lity' No bids will. be considered unless .... sealed and filed with the City Adm~mstra. tor and accompamed by a cash deposit, cashier's check, b~d bond or certified check payable to the City of Ramsey for five (5) percent of the amount of such bid. The motion for thE~adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember__ and upon vote beiag taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said re~olution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 1 lth day of July, 1995.
