OTHER CO~TS <br /> <br />In addition to Ith¢ costs identified in the previous section, the property owner will incur <br />various additional costs at the time new buildings are connected to the sewer and water <br />utilities. Thes~ costs include lateral services, Water Availability Charges (WAC), which is <br />collected by tl~e municipality to defray the depreciation costs of the water system, and a <br />Sewer Availa.bility Charge (SAC), which is collected by the City to be paid to the <br />Metropolitan ~_.ouncil Wastewater Division to defray the cost of reserved capacity designed <br />into the treatment and transmission facility. The amount of those WAC and SAC charges <br />are based on ~e amount of water usage. One WAC and SAC unit is designed to be the <br />equivalent of a~ single family residential wastewater generator. Also the City will collect a <br />water meter installation charge which is based upon meter size. <br /> <br />PROJECT SCHEDULE <br /> <br />This feasibilit~ report is anticipated to be received by the City Council on July 25, 1995, at <br />which time a ~ublic hearing will be scheduled for August 8, 1995. This project is being <br />petitioned by lg}0% of the benefitted properties and, therefore, may proceed to construction <br />following the tpublic hearing and resolution by the City Council ordering the project. <br />Construction plans from this project have been anticipated and been prepared in conjunction <br />with Project ~4-20, the AEC sewer and water extension. Contracting for this project are <br />anticipated to ~ let on August 8, 1995. The subsequent schedule is anticipated as follows: <br /> <br /> Begin ~onstruction August, 1995 <br /> Complete construction October 1, 1995 <br /> Hold a~sessment hearing October 10, 1995 <br /> First payment due with real estate taxes May, 1996 <br /> <br /> <br />
