I I I 1 Councilmember i inu'oduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION /195-07- A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT # RELATING TO A REQUEST FOI~ A HOME OCCUPATION ON THE PR-O-P-ERTY GENERALLY KNOWN AS 14794 KRYPTON COURT N.W. WHEREAS, Diane Dempsey, hereinafter referred to as "Applicant", has properly applied for a Home Occupation to conduct doll-making classes on the property generally known as 14794 Krypton Court N.w. and legally described as follows: Lot 5, Block 3, WOOD POND HILLS 3RD ADDITION; Anoka County, State of CITY 1. o 11. (the "Subje~, t Property") NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: That the A~plicant appeared before the Planning and Zoning Commission for a public hearing pur~. uant to Section 9.03.04 (Conditional Use Permits) and Section 9.11.04 (Home Occupations) of the Ramsey City Code on May 3, 1994 and that said public hearing was properly a4vertised and that the minutes of said public hearing were incorporated into Findings of Fact g0362 by reference. That in thelabsence of neighbors in the newly developing n. eighborhood, the Ramsey City Council gr6nted an interim use permit for the home occupatton for a one year period. That in acCt°rdance with the terms of the interim use permit issued on May 3, 1994, the Applicant I~as reapplied for a home occupation permit. That the A4pplicant reappeared before the Planning Commission for a public heating pursuant t.~ Section 9.03.04 (Conditional Use Permits) and Section 9.11..04 (Home Occupation. s) of the Ramsey City Code on July 5, 1995 and that said public hearing was properly arlvertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated as a part of thesle findings by reference. That the s~bject property is zoned R-1 Urban Residential and is approximately 13,000 square feet!in size. That cornrdercial activities are not a permitted use in the R-1 Urban Residential District. That the subject property is surrounded by R-I Urban Residential zoning. That the Applicant has provided documentation to support that the home occupation will be conducted ~vithin the private dwelling on the property and that the area set aside for the home occupation dc '~ not exceed 20% of the total floor area of the private dwelling. ; That the Applicant will reside at the location of the proposed home occupation. That the A[Splicant has stated that the home occupation will not include any employment of persons not residing in the private dwelling in the performance of the home occupation. That the A. P. plicant has stated that there will be no exterior storage of business equipment and materials.
