EROM.: GORHaM BUILDERS, INC. PHONE NO. : 612 755+1117

Jun. 26 1995 10:1lam P2

, s*i Gorham Builders,

10732 HANSON BLVD, COON RAPIDS, MN 55,,~,33 ,, PHONE (612} 755-1717
FAX (612) 755.1117

June 2.6, 1995

Mr. Ryan Schroeder, Administrator
City of Ramsey
15153 Nowthen Boulevard
Ramsey, NN 55302

Dear Mr. Schroeder,

After reading %he article in the Anoka County Union on Friday, June
23, 1995 about Mayor Glen Hardin's possible conflict of interest,
I find it necessary to respond to the accusations made by Terry
Hendriksen.

I am the owner and developer of Amber Ridge in a partnership with
Tony Emmerich. Our development company is called Gor-em, LLC. We
obtained a mortgage on this property through Roger Okerman at
Northeast State Bank. I am also the owner and developer of Willow
Ridge. This development has no mortgage on it,

At no time prior to, during or after the approval process by the
City of Ramsey for the Amber Ridge pla% did I have conversations
with Glen Hardin. At no time before, during or after ~he mortgage
approval process for Amber Ridge did I have conversations with Glen
Hardin. In fact, at fha% time I never knew Mr. Hardin was
affiliated with Northeast State Bank. All my dealings concerning
%he mortgage for Amber Ridge were directly with Roger Okerman.

At no time prior to or during the approval process for the Willow
Ridge development did I ever have conversations with Glen Hardin,
other than in council chambers during regular Council meetings when
I was seeking approval for my plat.

In my profession as a builder and developer I have always tried to
strive for %he highest ethical standards possible, so I take great
exception to Mr, Hendriksen's accusations that there could be a
possible coDflic~ or misrepresentation concerning the Mayor of
Ramsey and my company or partnership.

I find it appalling that Mr. Hendriksen would not check into his
concerns With me prior to making false accusations. I find it
equally appalling that the ABC papers would feel that this story
merits fromt Pa9e headlines without checking with me for
credibility on these accusations,

I also feel that it's these types of accusations and innuendos that
cause good and competent people to hesitate to run for city

Ot~r reputation is your best 9uarantee
