NOTE CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES The Planning Commission noted the following City Council meeting minutes: 1) City Council regular meeting minutes dated April 25, 1995. PUBLIC HEARINGS Chairperson Bawden adjourned the regular Planning Commission meeting at 7:34 p.m. in order to conduct the following public heatings: 1) Request for Preliminary Plat Approval of AEC Energy Park; Case of Anoka Electric Cooperative : 2) Request for a Home Occupation Permit; Case of Diane Dempsey Chairperson Bawden called the regular Planning Commission meeting back to order at 7:36 p.m. COMMISSION BUSINESS Case #1: Request for Amendment to Development Plan and Site Plan Approval to Construct a Maintenance Building at the Rum River Hills Golf Course; Case of Rum River Hills, Inc. ~ning Administrator Frolik stated that the site plan was submitted to the Planning Commission for review on June 6, 1995. At that time, the Commission tabled any action on the application for site plan approval and directed City Staff to schedule a public hearing for June 21, 1995 to consider amending the Planned Unit Development (PUD) development plan to specifically allow for the establishment of a maintenance building on Outlet G of the Rum River Hills PUD. After the public hearing on June 21, 1995, the Commission again tabled action and directed members of City Staff, Planning Commission, area residents, and golf course personnel to meet at the golf course site to review alternative sites for the maintenance building. After touring the site on June 28, 1995, the general consensus was that of the three sites available on the Rum River Hills Golf Course, the proposed site in the southwest comer of the property is the most logical. It was decided that Jeff T011ette of Rum River Hills and Gerald Schmidt (resident and owner of the parcel immediately adjacent to the golf course on the south) would attend the July 5, 1995 Planning Commission meeting with a mutually acceptable proposal for the development of the maintenance building in the southwest comer of the site, should it be approved. Jeff Toilette of Rum River Hills Golf Course advised that he has only met once with Mr. Schmidt, but they have not yet firmed up a proposal. Mr. Tollette explained that Rum River Hill's standpoint is such that this has to be the site, and they need to get moving on the project. Therefore, as it is only a matter of screening, etc., Mr. Tollette requested that the City grant some tYPe of approval pending the new site plan.
