Councilmember: introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #95-08- RESOLUTION. APPROVING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SPECIFICATiONS AND CONFIRMING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #95-18 (THE CONSTRUCTION OF WATERMAIN AND SANITARY SEWER TO SERVICE THE PROPOSED RIVER/47 PLAZA ADDITION) WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Ramsey City Council on July 11, 1995, the City Engineer has prepared contract documents and specifications for the improvement of the consamction of sanitary sewer and watermain to service the proposed River/47 Plaza Addition and hai~ presented such conlxact documents and specifications to the Council for approval. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY~ ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That such contract documents and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2) That the City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the (lonstruction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved contract documents and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for at least 10 days, shall specify the work to be done, shall stat~ that bids will be received by the City Administrator until 2:00 p.m. on August 18 1995, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municip~ Center by the City Engineer and a Recording Secretary, will then be tabulated, and will be considered by the Ramsey City Council at 7:00 p.m. on August 22, I995, in the Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City of Ramsey for five (5) percent of the amount of such bid. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof.' and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said ~esolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 8th day of August, 1995.
