This new plan did eliminate the tree-capped berm along Hwy.
#47 intended tri screen the n-raintenance building activity and outside fuel storage tanks from the
public fight of ~vay. It also only left a 10 foot wide landscape area adjacent to Hwy. #47 where a
20 foot wide area is required by Code.

At the July 25, ':1995 Council meeting, the revised site plan was submitted to City Council. Staff
also reported tl~a., t in a telephone conversation with Mr. Scbmidt on July 17, it was understood that
the only unresci~Ived issue was the roof material. The golf course was proposing a metal roof and
Mr. Schmidt felt an asphalt shingle roof would be more appropriate. Mr. Schmidt then informed
Council that there was a miscommunication with Staff and in addition to continuing to oppose the
proposed loca{jon of the building, there were many unresolved issues, including hours of
operation. Council tabled action on the case to allow time for the members to tour the potential
sites for the ma~tenance building.

On August 1, .i995, Councilmembers Beyer, Zimmerman and Beahen toured the various golf
course sites and should be providing a verbal report at the Council meeting on August 8.

Recommenda:tion:

The Planning C~ommission recommends approval of the amendment to the development plan and a
site plan accep~ble to Mr. Schmidt, the applicant and City Code.

City Staff recommends approval of the amendment to the development plan.
