Johnson <br /> <br />RE: <br /> <br />Rum River Hills Golf Course <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Schroeder: <br /> <br />Please.be advised that I represent Jerry Schmidt whose <br />residence is located at 5831 164th Lane N.W., Ramsey, <br />immediately adjacent to the Rum River 'Hills Golf <br />Course. As you may be aware, the owners of the Rum <br />River Hills Golf Course are asking permission to build <br />a larg~ maintenance building and parking lot on the <br />golf course abutting my client's property. <br /> <br />In rev%ewing the original PUD Plan and Developers <br />Agreement, it appears that the zoning of the particular <br />proper~y in question was never addressed; and the <br />proper~y.where the maintenance building is to be <br />located is zoned PUD Golf Course. I have also been <br />informed that the Planning staff intends to allow, the. <br />building to be erected on the property simply with <br />site-Plan approval without a public hearing. <br /> <br />It is ~ur position that a public hearing is required in <br />this matter. This proposed building was not included <br />in theioriginal PUD Plan; will reduce the open space in <br />the PUD and contradicts the original Findings of Fact <br />that were entered into prior to the approval of the PUD <br />because this structure will have a severe detrimental <br />effectlto my client's property and the property of <br />other ~urrounding property owners and may be considered <br />an inverse taking, by the City. My client respectfully <br />requests that this proposed project be put on for <br />public:hearing so that the concerns of the surrounding <br />property owners can be heard by the City Council. If <br />this matter is not placed on for public'hearing, my <br />client has requested that I take whatever steps are <br />necessary in order to protect his interests. Please <br /> <br /> <br />
