PUBLIC WORKS MONTHLY REPORT FOR JULY 1995
By: Merle Mevissen, Public Works Supervisor

The Public Works Departr:nent spent a number of hours in July patching potholes.
process is expected to be ongoing most of the summer.

That

The dirt streets were graded three times in July - no complaints received.

Some time was spent on equipment maintenance - mostly oil changes.

The majorityI of the time for July was spent working on the new Public Works facility,
getting the building ready and also moving in. We are moved in, but still have a lot of
things to mo,Ce over yet and a lot of things to put away. We need to either build or buy
some shelves~for storage - that will be a good winter project.

The Department installed and maintained some signs that were knocked down and
damages.

All roadsideS were mowed one pass - two passes on the main roads. More mowing will be
done as time permits.

Some time was spent on tree trimming and removal due to a tree falling over on Variolite
Street. It had to be taken care of immediately.

The Department did some inspection of blacktopping and overlays and there is still more to
do.

The remainder of the month was spent doing the normal day-to-day operations.

/jmt
