I I I i I I I I I I I '1 I I I I I I Councilmember adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved for its RESOLUTION #95-09- RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #95-16 (BITUMINOUS SURFACING OF BISON STIiEET BETWEEN 171ST AVENUE AND 173RD AVENUE) WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Ramsey City Council on August 23, 19~5, the C~ty Engineer has prepared contract documents and specifications for the improverfient consisting of grading and construction of a bituminous road surface for Bison Street b~etween 171st Avenue and 173rd Avenue. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That such contract documents and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2) That the City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the Construction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon the making of suck improvement under such approved contract documents and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for at least 10 days, shah specify the work to be do~e, shall state that bids will be received by the City Administrator until 11:00 a.m. oh September 25, 1995, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Couno~il Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal Center by the City Engineer and a Recor~ling Secretary, will then be tabulated, and will be considered by the Ramsey City Clouncil at 7:00 p.m. on September 26, 1995, in the Council Chambers. Any bidde~ whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given gn opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will t~e considered unless sealed and filed with the City Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City of Ramsey for five (5) percent of the amount of such bid. The motion :for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:' and the folloW~ing voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the follow'lng were absent: whereupon s~id resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this ttle 12th day of September.
