I <br />'1 <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br /> Councilmember ~ introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION //95-09- <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION C~LLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR <br /> IMPROVEMENTiPROJECT g95-04 (SEALCOAT AND CRACK FILL 153RD AVENUE N.W. <br /> FROM C.R. #5 TO C.R. #56) <br /> <br /> WHEREA.S? by a resolution passed by the City Council on September 12, 1995, the City <br />Administrator was d~rected to prepare a proposed assessment of the cost of improvements to 153rd Avenue <br />N.W. from County Road//5 to County Road #56; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ the City Administrator has notified the City Council that such proposed assessment <br />has been completed and filed in his office for public inspection. <br />NOW THEREFO~RE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOI~.,A COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That a public~ hearing shall be held on Tuesday, September 26, 1995 at 7:00 p.m. at the Ramsey <br /> Municipal C~nter, to pass upon such proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons <br /> owning pro~rty affected by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with <br /> reference to ~ch assessment. <br /> <br />2) That the City Administrator is hereby directed to cause a notice of the public hearing on the <br /> proposed as~ssment to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the <br /> hearing, and ~he shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. He shall also cause <br /> mailed notic~ to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the assessment roll not less than <br /> two weeks prior to the hearings. <br /> <br />3) That the owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the assessment <br /> by the Count~, Auditor, pay the whole of the assessment of such property, with interest accrued to <br /> the date of p~fyment to the City, except that no interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is <br /> paid within 39 days from the adoption of the assessment. The owner may at any time, thereafter, <br /> pay to the City the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, with interest accrued to <br /> December 3 t of the year in which such payment is made. Such payment must be made before <br /> November 1~ or interest will be charged through December 31 of the succeeding year. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being ~taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following vo[ed against the same: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 12th day <br />of September, 1995.
