Councilmember i introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION 6'95-09- RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR IMPROVEMEI~T PROJECT #95-18 (THE CONSTRUCTION OF WATERMAIN AND SANITAR~Y SEWER TO SERVICE RIVER/47 PLAZA ADDITION) WHERE~S, Resolution g95-08-165, dated August 8, 1995, authorized the preparation of plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and WHERE~S, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of watermain and~% sanitary sewer t6 service River/47 Plaza Addition, bids were received, opened and tabulated~ x,\ according to law ~n September 8, 1995; and WHEREAS, the following quotes were received: BidderI Amount of Bid Barbarossh & Sons 112,074.00 ~, ~ / Volk Sewer & Water 113,840.00 X. / Ir, land Uti~i~'ty 106,766.00 "%. / H & M Aaphalt 104,218.25 '"-~ Bonine E~cavating 103,581.65 Engineeg's Estimate $87,378.00 NOW THEREEORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ~kNOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a conU'act with Bonine Excavating in the name of the City of Ramsey for the construction of Improven~ nt Project g95-18 in the amount of $103,581.65. 2) That the ~ty Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders, the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next to lo,est bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
