CouncilmemberI <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION ~95-09- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #95-18 (THE CONSTRUCTION OF WATERMAIN <br />AND SANITARY SEWER TO SERVICE RIVER/47 PLAZA ADDITION) <br /> WHEREAS, Resolution g95-08-165, dated August 8, 1995, authorized the preparation <br />of plans and spc~cafions for the above referenced work; and <br /> <br /> WHERE~S, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of watermain and <br />sanitary sewer tb service River/47 Plaza Addition, bids were received, opened and tabulated <br />according to law bn September 8, 1995; and <br /> <br /> WHEREJAS, the following quotes were received: <br /> <br />Amount of Bid <br /> <br />Barbaros~a & Sons <br />Volk Sewer & Water <br />Inland Utility <br />H & M A~phalt <br />Bonine E~cavating <br /> <br />Engineer:'s Estimate <br /> <br /> 112,074.00 <br /> 113,840.00 <br /> 106,766.00 <br /> 104,218.25 <br /> 103,581.65 <br /> <br />$87,378.00 <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, !ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the l¥Iayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br /> contract w]ith Bonine Excavating in the name of the City of Ramsey for the construction of <br /> Improvenient Project g05-18 in the amount of $103,581.65. <br /> <br />2) That the ~.ity Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders, <br /> the deposi~ts made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the <br /> next to lov~est bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />The motion for thc adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> art~ upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following ~oted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following mere absent: <br />whereupon said r~solution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br />the 12th day of September, 1995. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />City Administrato~ <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
