Schroeder, City Administrator and Gromberg, Economic Development Coordinator CASE # The City of An9ka recently placed covenants within their Enterprise Industrial Park. The City of Ramse~t is proposing covenants in the Ramsey Business Park based upon the Anoka documegt. The Anoka Electric Cooperative will be following suit for their park as well. All three hre occurring to ensure a consistently high standard of development which cannot be ensu.ked by the zoning ordinance alone. In our case, we have a significant financial investinent in the industrial park. These covenants are recommended to provide security in that investment. Further, businesses which locate in this park are receiving the benefit of the C~ty investment. In return, they should provide a better facility than would be required in areas not receiving this public investment. The City Council directed that the proposed covenants for the Industrial Area of the City of I. Ramsey be reviewed by the Planning Commission. In addition, the City Council recommended ..lhat the Architectural Review Board be comprised of two Planning Commission m~mbers, two Economic Development Commission members, two property owners and the City Administrator. After review by~ the Planning Commission, the requirement that all landscaped areas be irrigated was al~o included. This occurred in that the Commission noted in two site plan reviews that irri~gation was not currently required, by the zoning ordinance. Based upon the proposed make UP of the Board, the follow~ng members have been chosen: Planning Comrdission: Economic Deve!opment Commission: City Administrator: Bradley Thomd and Benjamin Deemer Kenneth Wagner and David Kent Ryan Schroeder Property OwnerS: Open The property owner's seats would remain open until the lots are transferred to the new property owners. Currently, it is anticipated that Command and Carbon Product Technology representatives would hold these seats.
