Applicants were asked to include a statement listing their reasons for seeking
appointment to the Park and Recreation Commission.

Three letters of application were received and presented to the Park and Recreation Commission on
Thursday, October 12, 1995, at their regular Commission meeting. The Commission recommends the
appointment of Steve L. Ostrum as a Park and Recreation Commissioner with a term to expire October 31,
1997. Mr. Ostrum, while a relatively new resident to Ramsey, has an extensive background in community
involvement.

The Commission requests that formal approval be made by the City Council.
