I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />ROAD AND BRIDGE COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey R, oad and Bridge Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, June <br />27, 1995, at ~e Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Councilmember Carolyn Beahen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />Finance Officer Jessie Hart <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br /> <br />Councilmemb~r Zimmerman called the regular meeting of the Road and Bridge Committee <br />to order at 5:37 p.m. · <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: ~Drainage Issues <br /> <br />City Enginee~ Jankowski presented a list of identified drainage issues, as well as staff's <br />position on these issues, as follows: ParaBody (Highway #10 site - An outlet for drainage <br />will be addresged in the current storm sewer comprehensive plan); Wetland #658 (west of <br />T.H. #47 andisouth of 149th Lane - An outlet for this wetland will be addressed in the <br />current storml sewer comprehensive plan); Wetland #659 (east of T.H. #47 which lies <br />along the cotamon border of Amber Ridge, Willow Ridge, and Gorham's Sandy Acres <br />Estates - A sditable outlet control structure will be addressed in the current storm water <br />comprehensix~e plan); 14600 Waco Street (back yard flooding - The storm sewer <br />improvemen~ which were constructed to address the drainage have not functioned up to <br />expectations a~d additional modifications are in process with the Amber Ridge developer); <br />6384 - 143rdLane (back yard flooding - A storm sewer should be considered to re-divert <br />mn-off generated from the street away from the property); 16560 Yttrium Street (back yard <br />flooding - Du,ring the last rapid spring melt, the property owner indicated the water had <br />ponded withiri a short distance of the structure before draining into the dry well); 17410 <br />Chameleon St met (side yard flooding - Some of the water could be directed from the ditch <br />along the roa,~way which drains into this low area, by diverting it to a wetland east of <br />Chameleon St :eec Such a modification could be made along with the paving of Chameleon <br />Street. How(iver, the low area is also fed by drainage from the area east of Gibbon <br />Street.); 6508 - 171st Lane (septic field flooding - The ditch along the roadway functions <br />adequately to drain the street); 16800 St. Francis Boulevard (standing water in roadside <br />ditch - The di':ch functions adequately to drain the street); 9158 Collins Drive (drainage <br />onto the property - The drainage should be addressed along with the paving of the street); <br />Intersection o1' 164th Lane and Azurite Street (flooding - No structures are in danger of <br />flooding); N ~oon's RV, Skelgas, and Anoka West Pet Hospital on Highway #10 (flooding <br />- A storm watgr project has been proposed and will be addressed in the current storm water <br /> <br />Road & Bridge Committee/June 27, 1995 <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
