As you will recall, the Council 'directed a
anation to be served on Parcel 11, the Stanley Welsh property. The
)perry owners were sent a letter on November 7, 1995, offering the
ralnage easement at a unit price of $1,000 per acre. This results in a range
}r 13 parcels.

ffers were mailed, I have spoken with ten of the remaining 13 property
sement.has been acquired and four additional property owners indicated
:eepting the offer. I hope to be able to contact the remaining property
lance Committee meeting and be in a position to summarize their positions

regarding the ea~e. ment acquisition.

I would anticipate that I would be authorized to settle a compensation amount with some
property ownersI directed to negotiate further with other property owners, and proceed to
condemnation f$.r those owners who do not appear willing to settle on a reasonable
amount.

Committee A~tion:
Based upon disdussion.

Reviewed by:

City Engineer
City Administrator
Finance Officer
City Attorney

FC: 11/28/95

]jmt
