I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I Mr. Schroeder~reported that when a new business comes in on Highway #10, we do look at where the fr6ntage road would be and set aside an area to provide for it. He stated that he has talked t~ some businesses about getting frontage roads. There are no agreements as yet but it has ~n discussed in the recent past. Entrance sign~ were discussed as well as funding for them from the Economic Development .~ompany. Also discussed was uniformity of the business/industrial development signs and whether or not the businesses would be in favor of that. One of the ideas was for ~gns showing what businesses are located in the industrial parks. Councilmemb~r Zimmerman inquired about the feasibility of a motel being located on Highway #10.~ Mayor Hardin istated that generally a motel chain would do the marketing to determine the feasibility of sBch. Councilmembar Beyer suggested that one of the businesses needed in Ramsey is a good family restaur~.': t. Discussion enaued relating to getting major businesses to locate in Ramsey. It was stated that the most t~e City can do at this point is to "let them know we are here" and to "include key statistics t~ey may be looking for". Discussion al~o ensued pertaining to standards and criteria for appointment and re- appointment tO. a commission. On developm~pt, Chairperson Wagner announced that the City Council has done a great job with the d~velopment of and buying of property. The EDC applauds Council's efforts and hopes the Eouncil remains proactive. Mayor Hardin ithanked the EDC for their time and effort also. ADJOURNMENT Consensus wa! to adjourn the meeting.
