I I I I I I I I I I I I I i CAS # PROPOSED CHANGES TO COUNTY STATE AID HIGHWAY SYSTEM By: Steve Jankowski, City Engineer Background: Attached is a letter,~from Jon Olson, Anoka County Engineer, requesting the City's support in the re-designation of i the County State Aid Highway System. These changes were discussed informally at the Oc. tober 24, 1995 meeting. A sketch is attached which illustrates the changes, ff passed, the City df Ramsey would realize a net change of 6.5 miles in state aid designation. A summary of chants is enumerated below. Th~ County feels the changes will result in an increase in the amount of allocation received from the Itate each year. Also, the two county roads within the city added to the system, C.R. #116 and C.R. #83, mn adjacent to areas of the city which are expected to develop within the near future. ~ The County is as.10ng the City of Ramsey to pass the attached resolution, as City support is necessary to facilitate the change.
