Case #2: UPDATE ON THE PARKS COh[PREHENS~ PLAN DOCUMENT Park~s/Ufilities Supervisor Boos .presented the plan outline and a portion dealing with the Commissions role and purpose. The consensus of the Commission was to review the update and forward recommendations to Mr. Boos. Case #3: COM]VIISSIONMEM]BER TERM EXPIRATIONS Motion by Commissioner Johns and seconded by Commissioner LaMere to recommend City Council reappoint Chairman Hetland and Commissioners Asfahl and Sldrmer to terms to expire October 1997. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Co-chairperson Cook and Commissioners Johns and LaMere. Voting No: None. Absent: None. Abstaining: Chairperson Hetland, Commissioners Asfahl and Skinner. COM]VIISSION INPUT Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos indicated that the boardwalk section of the Lake Itasca Trail is nearly complete, and questioned if the Commission desired a ribbon cutting ceremony. Mr. Boos and Commissioner Cook both commented on positive responses by residents using the trail. The concensus of the Commission was to have a ribbon cutting ceremony 6 P.M., Monday, October 23, 1995, at the Lake Itasca Trail. Notices will be posted advising residents of the event. Next Park and Recreation Commission Meeting The next regular Park and Recreation Commission meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, November 9, 1995, at the Municipal Center. ADJOURNIVIENT Motion by Chairperson Hetland arid seconded by Commissioner Asfahl to adjourn the meeting, Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Hetland, Commissioners Asfahl, Cook, Johns, LaMere and Skinner. Voting No: None. Absent: None.
