rrecommended from T.H. #47 to County Road #5 will be able to be contained within the road <br />right-of-way requihng no land dedication. <br /> <br />This case is informational as it relates to the following case and no action was required. <br /> <br />Case #2: PONDVALE/RAMSEY MEADOWS TRAIL LINK ACQUISITION <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos explained that a 20-foot strip was platted at the western edge of <br />Ramsey Meadows~;2nd Addition at the time of platting of Ramsey Meadows and Sunny Pond <br />Subdivisions in anticipation of Pondvale Estates Addition receiving municipal utilities. <br /> <br />Pondvale Estates x~oted not to accept municipal services, and the path corridor to the south did <br />not procede. <br /> <br />Doug and Karla Jpnes, homeowners directly south of the 20-foot link, contacted the Ctiy to <br />express interest in Seeing the connection go forward. <br /> <br />The Commission reaffirmext its desire to see the trail link go forward with park dedication from <br />the Brandseth Addition as fund!nb,. -~-. <br /> <br />Co-Chair Cook question whether there would be enough park dedication dollars to accomodate <br />acquisition, grading and tree relocation as well as the entire length of the trail. <br /> <br />Mr. Boos indicated that funds were sufficient. <br /> <br />Motion by Co-Chair Cook and seconded by Commissioner Asfahl to recommend Staff Prepare a <br />proposal for City ;Council consideration at a not-to-exceed cost of $6,000, using the Brandseth <br />Addition park dedi~eation as a funding source. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Co-Chair Cook, Commissioners Asfahl, Johns, LaMere and <br />Skinner. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br /> <br />Case #3: COMPREHENSIVE PARK AND OPEN SPACE PLAN STATUS <br /> <br />Last month, Staff introduced a draft of the outline (table of contents) for the <br />Comprehensive Plan, as well as a section dealing with the Commission's role. <br /> <br />Parks <br /> <br />Both Co-Chair Cook and Commissioner Johns voiced that the draft plan has a very <br />comprehensive outline. <br /> <br />The Commission reviewed the recommended changes by Commissioner Johns to the outline and <br />also the mission ~ role of the Commission sections. <br /> <br />The consensus of the Commission was to make the following changes: <br /> <br /> Park and Recreation Commission/November 9, 1995 <br /> Page 3 of 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
