Voting No: None. <br /> <br />COUNCIL ilUSINESS/PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />Case #1: iAnoka Electric Cooperative TIF District <br /> I <br />City Administ~a~ tot Schroeder explained that Council is being asked to adopt a resolution <br />creating a TIF iDistrict. Included in this district is the AEC property as well as the north <br />half of the Alt00n property adjacent to that. It's a 140 acre development area and what's <br />intended is an t Economic Development District which is a shorter tenure district - eight <br />years. The ffi'~t increment would be 1998. He explained the budget and the fact that it's <br />conservative. ~e explained that this Anoka Electric project would not have gone forward <br />but for tax increment assistance. The City will be using tax increment proceeds to construct <br />the sewer and ~ater lines as well as Sunwood Drive. The furore water tower and any wells <br />in the area will!also be funded with tax increments. <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin {closed the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 7:16 p.m. in order <br />to conduct the public heating. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin !called the public hearing to order at 7:16 p.m. <br /> <br />~i(iz~n lnt~u~ <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />Motion by CoCncilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to close the <br />public hearing.: <br /> <br />Motion carried..
