ORDINANCE #95-XX <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 12 OF THE HOME RULE CHARTER OF <br />THE CITY OF RAMSEY WHICH CHAPTER 12 IS ENTITLED <br />"MISCELLANEOUS AND TRANSITORY PROVISIONS". <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey, Minnesota hereby ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. <br /> <br />REPEAL <br /> <br />Section 12.5 of Chapter 12 of the Ramsey Cit'3' Charter to be deleted in its entiretT. Section <br />12.5 reads as follows: <br /> <br />Section 12.5. Sales of Real Property. No real property of the city, <br />with the exception of cemetery plots, shall be disposed of except by <br />ordnance. The proceeds of any sale of such property shall be used as far as <br />possible to retire any outstanding indebtedness incurred by the city in the <br />purchase, construction, or improvement of this or other property used for <br />the same public purpose, If there is no such outstanding indebtedness, the <br />council may by resolution designate some other punic use for the proceeds. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. SUMMARY <br /> <br />Deletion of Section 12.5 or Chapter 12 of the Ramsey City Charter will allow for <br />convenient sale of real property by the City. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. <br /> <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />This Ordinance shall beCome effective (90) days after its passage and publication subject to <br />the provisions of Minnesota Statutes § 410.12, Subd. 7. <br /> <br />PASSED by the City Council this the <br /> <br />day of ,1995. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />Introduction Date: <br />Posting Dates: <br />Adoption Date: <br />Publication Date: <br />Effective Date: <br /> <br /> <br />
