As you are aware, this review and
updating includes a transportational component that gives the City's vision of the future transportation system. Part
of this future vision of the City includes changes to the US Highway #10 corridor, including a pgssible river
crossing.

As the City Council has reviewed various recommendations, a series of questions have been raised. These
questions include:

1) What type of interchange should be constructed between Highway #10 and any river crossings?

2) How many feet of right-of-way would be required in conjunction with any proposed interchange?

3) What would be the estimated minimum distance allowable for roadway interseCtions with any interchange?

4) What effect would the interchange have on private accesses to Highway #107

5) What would the height requirements be for the clearance of the highway and the Burlington Northern
Railroad tracks to the north of the highway?

6) What procedures would MnDOT follow if private accesses are to be closed along the length of Highway #10
in the City of Ramsey?

As We have discussed, any future river crossings or interchange with Highway #10 are speculative and the
requirements that are given may very well change prior to the completion of the roadway. This information will be
used by the City as it updates its comprehensive plan.
Should you require any additional information, please contact me at 427-1410...

Sincerely, /~/ '

--'M~mes D' Grr Economic De°vrhe~m~

Mayor and City Council
Ryan Schroeder, City Administrator
Steve Jankowski, City Engineer
Sylvia Frolik, Zoning Administrator
