CASE #4

GAME FAIR BOOTH
By: James D. Gromberg, Economic Development Coordinator

Background:

The Game Fair is scheduled for the weekends of August 11-13 and 18-20 at the Armstrong
Kennels. The City will, once again, be sponsoring a booth and will require volunteer staffing. A
decision should be made as to the type of materials that should be made available.

In addition, we need to review the possibility of using this event to advertise the City of Ramsey.
This may be accomplished by the placing of a banner across Armstrong Boulevard and the
completion of an acltlitional entrance sign along Highway #10. The City has contacted the owners
of the ParaBody fae~ility to inquire into the possibility of a sign easement on their property. This
sign would be located at the entrance to the City of Ramsey on the north side of Highway #10.
The sign would be similar to the one currently located at the comer of 153rd Avenue and Highway
gl0. We should have an answer on June 9, 1995, regarding this matter. I will also be contacting
Anoka Electric Cooperative regarding cost of erecting the banner over Armstrong Boulevard.

Commission Action:

Based upon discussion.

Reviewed by:

Economic Development Coordinator

EDC:06/08/95

/ccr
