CASE #3 MARKETING PLAN FOR INDUSTRIAL PARK By: i James Gromberg, Economic Development Coordinator Background: At the June meetingof the Economic Development Commission authorized an advertisement to appear in the Real Estate Journal, edition highlighting the Highway #10 corridor. Enclosed for your review is a COpy of both the article and advertisement that appeared. In addition, an o [ , advemsement was also included in the classified ad section. This was not requested, but it was a pleasant surprise. The City is also reviewing the possibility of an advertisement in the Industrial Properties publication. EncloSed for your review is a copy of the specifics for this publication. I have also included an ad copy for your review. City Administrator Schroeder and I believe that by advertising property with the equity listed, we should receive a significant number of inquiries, allowing for the filling of the industrial park in a short time period. As we had discussed at the June meeting, I have attached the information that is generally included in the folders when information is requested about the City and possible development opportunities. It would be helpful if you review the information and provide any suggestions as to any additional information and possible changes to the packet provided. I have also included a copy of the letter that was sent to the owners of the ParaBody Building on Highway #10. The indicated that they would be agreeable to giving the City a sign easement to construct a monument entrance sign. As the letter states, an easement document was included with the letter for their signature and return. Commission Action: A recommendation as to the possibility of placing an advertisement in the Industrial Properties publication, similar to the ad copy provided.
